SYNOPSIS
- Our topic is fashion so we are portraying a documentary highlighting three aspects.
- We are starting with a ramp walk that shows evolution of dutch and Indian fashion through the years. So we will start with the different clothing styles in chronological order showing the 1700s and the modernisation till the present time. Then we will show our own made designs that inculcate both Indian and dutch ideas collaborating the two styles. Basically Indian and duct h fusion in the field of fashion.(composite culture)
- The next thing we are showing is how famous designers form India and Netherlands have inculcated both the styles. How indo-dutch fashion has been a successful initiative.
- Then we are showing values symbolised by fashion in the two countries.
- Acceptance- Fashion helps people of all shapes, sizes, colours and religions fit into the society because everyone looks amazing and rocks into duct fashion.
- People wear fashion that increases their self confidence and individual expression.
- Also women empowerment is shown through dutch fashion because women have the power to change their destiny through their fashion statement.

Person 1-
Fashion is an integral part of our lives, and is much more than just dresses, make up and accessories. It can be made into a statement of who we are. Fashion does not only not judge a person based of their colour or religion but only helps the person accept this fact themselves.
Person 2-
Clothes and accessories are used by famous personalities to support important causes and urge other fans to do the same. The ‘Dress in Black’ movement was used by stars like Emma Watson, Emma Stone, Meryl Streep etc to protest and show solidarity for harassment victims. It also symbolised gender equality. The Red Ribbon movement was promoted by wearing red ribbons to workplaces which sympathised with patients suffering from HIV/AIDS. These are very few of the many ways that fashion icons have helped in making the world a better place.
Person 1- Fashion plays a vital, if not the most important role, in enabling individuals to construct, sculpt and express their identities, especially in larger metropolitan cities where they “mingle with crowds of strangers and have only fleeting moments to impress them” Fashion is also a means of self-expression, because with the use of various styles, colours and textures, a person’s individuality can be portrayed.
Person 2- Nationalistic fervour and the sense of community can be revealed through fashion. Festivals and other events have specific fashion styles which have evolved over the years and have become one of the most important aspects of these celebration.
Sustainability is signified through making a commitment to the environment as well. With a growing consumer market and consumption of man made goods, its essential to find ways to waste less, make smarter, and develop new production structures with the environment in mind.

COMPARISON
I compared my project to a European school Lyceum Oudehoven whose topic was food. The difference between our projects were that they spoke only about Indian food whereas we spoke about both Indian and Dutch. We have also included both pictures and talks in our topics whereas they spoke only about the Indian food. Their video is very interesting and describes food perfectly and also tempts us to eat it. Both the videos are amazing.

REFLECTION
It was a fun project and I am so privileged that we got this chance. The only thing we found difficult was submitting our ideas on time. Also we learnt a lot while going about this project.
